4/30/21 Updated Mitigation Plan and Quarantine Guidelines

4/30/21 Updated Mitigation Plan and Quarantine Guidelines

As a follow up to our communication on April 26th, we would like to provide you with our updated HUSD Mitigation Plan. Our plan has been updated to reflect that face coverings are optional. All other mitigation strategies such as physical distancing, frequent hand washing and use of hand sanitizer are still encouraged.

With the recent recension of the HUSD face covering policy at the April 26th meeting, there is no longer standing definitions of primary and secondary exposures. If there is a positive case in a classroom, everyone in the classroom will be notified of potential exposure. It will then be determined on a case-by-case basis, with the health department’s recommendation, regarding who will need to be quarantined. We have also updated the HUSD Quarantine Guidelines at this time.

We are committed to ongoing communication, the respect and acceptance for diverse opinions and concerns.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to work together and finish this year strong.

Sincerely,
Higley Unified School District Administration Team
