Chaparral’s Robo-Sharks competed in their first VEXIQ tournament
Teams from around the valley gathered to test their skills in the VEX IQ Next Level competition recently at Higley High School.
Students tested their driving skills on the Next Level field by working to score as many points as they could in one minute with their partner. They also tested their collaboration skills by participating in the team matches.
Competing teams were randomly partnered up and work collaboratively for one minute to score as many points as possible. Our teams also met with a panel of judges to gather feedback on their engineering notebook.
Our Robo-Sharks did very well demonstrating their ability to synergize, problem solve and think "win-win".
The Robo-Sharks is an afterschool, competitive, STEM club that meets weekly. Students in grades fourth thru sixth worked together to design and build robots using VEXIQ building kits. The club uses the 4 C’s: critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity.
