WFHS AD named AIA 4A-6A Administrator of the Year

Williams Field High School starts the new school year with a champion in its midst.

Assistant principal and athletics director Darrell Stangle was named the 2019-2020 administrator of the year for the AIA 4A-6A conferences.

The story on the Arizona Interscholastic Athletic website notes Stangle's history in education and athletics. Stangle holds a Bachelor's of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Kansas State University and a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. His coaching background includes experiences in several Arizona schools. He joined Williams Field High School five years ago.

"Darrell has been a dedicated servant leader and advocate for student athletes and coaches throughout Arizona. His goal was to model and instill the pillars of Dedication, Ownership, Mental Toughness, Integrity, Never Giving Up, Accountability, Trustworthiness, Expecting to win, And Selflessness. His love for athletics and his community, and his desire to see students grow and strive to become a better version of themselves, has consistently been at the core of his life’s work as a coach and educator," the website story states.
