WFHS Students to Grant Three-Year-Old’s Wish As Part of Wish Week

A family vacation to the beach is one three-year-old’s wish that students at Williams Field High School are hoping to grant this week.

Cooper and His Family

Partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Williams Field High School Student Council is hosting a week-long event to raise money and support for Cooper’s wish.

“Wish Week is a way for our students, staff and community to work together in achieving a goal,” said Williams Field Student Council Advisor Beverly Peden. “The thing I love about Wish Week is seeing the entire students and staff population come together, despite differences, to grant a wish. It helps positivity spread across our campus, and then my hope is the rest of the world.”

Last year, students raised over $45,000 for Make-A-Wish Arizona, which paid for more than four wishes.

“Wish Week not only gives me the opportunity to bless others, it also pushes me to become a better person,” said Student Body President Elle Ruffentine. “It has been a monumental part of my high school experience and I would not be the person I am today if I had not experienced the magic of Make-A-Wish.”

WFHS students are still looking for donations, which can be made here:
