National Signing Day: Students Celebrate Next Steps in Athletic and Academic Journey
Student-athletes at Williams Field High School celebrated with family and friends on Wednesday, Feb. 2nd, as they signed their letters of intent, revealing where they will continue their academic and athletic journey after high school.
The event, which took place at Williams Field High School’s Field House, included an introduction from Athletic Director and Assistant Principal Darrell Stangle and brief words from WFHS coaches.
“This is always one of my favorite days of the year,” Stangle said. “Parents, thank you for everything that you do in supporting your young person, so they have an opportunity to pursue their dream. It is heartwarming to see their hard work come to fruition.”
WFHS recognized seven students. These students will be continuing their academic and athletic careers at colleges across the US, including:
Kaden Cloud who – Air Force Academy – Football
Lance St Louis – University of Texas – Football
Lasjawn Hunter – Western New Mexico – Football
Alana West – Westcliff University – Basketball
Rylan Johnson – Oregon State – Golf
Noah Plaza- Concordia University Irvine – Cross Country – Track
