  • Notice of call for special elections and call for arguments

    The Higley Unified School District Governing Board approved on June 14, 2019, resolutions calling for special elections to be held Nov. 5, 2019.

    The first special election resolution authorizes the District to ask voters to modify the purpose or list of capital projects authorized by previous voter-approved bond authorization.

    The second resolution authorizes the District to ask voters to continue the Maintenance and Operations 15% budget override that is currently in place.

    The deadline to submit pro/con arguments to the Office of the Maricopa County School Superintendent (MCSS) is Friday, August 9, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. Only arguments containing original signatures are accepted. Electronic statements will not be processed until an original signed version is received by MCSS. A postmark does not constitute a filing. Arguments shall not exceed two hundred words (A.R.S. § 15-481 (B)(9)).

    Pursuant to A.R.S. § 15-481 (B)(9), the county school superintendent shall review all factual statements contained in the written arguments and correct any inaccurate statements of fact. The superintendent shall not review and correct any portion of the written arguments that are identified as statements of the author’s opinion.

  • Fiscal Year 2020 Expenditure Budget Hearing Notice

    This is a notification that the Higley Unified School District will be having a public hearing and board meeting to adopt its Fiscal year 2020 Expenditure Budget.

    Meeting Date: June 26, 2019

    Time: 6 p.m.

    Location: HUSD District Office, 2935 S. Recker Road, Gilbert, AZ. 85295

  • Registration for Summer Camp Today!

    Discovery Summer Camp: Passport to the World will be held May 28 - July 12 at San Tan Elementary and Coronado Elementary.  

    Camp is offered 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for children ages 3 through 12. Cost is $40 daily, and includes a snack. Join us as we take a trip around the world and explore new cultures.

  • District, school office summer hours

    Beginning, Monday, June 3, the District office will be open 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday. These hours will be in effect through June 28, 2019.

    Beginning June 3, middle school offices will be open 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday. These hours will be in effect through June 28, 2019.

    High school offices will be open 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday – Thursday. These hours will be in effect through June 28, 2019.

    Elementary offices will be closed on June 3 through July 5, 2019.

    Effective, Monday, July 1, the District office will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. The District office will be closed, Thursday, July 4th.

    All school offices will be closed July 1-5.

    All school offices will reopen July 8.

    Beginning Monday, July 15, all offices will be open according to the regular school-year office hours.

    School begins July 22.

  • Enrollment information for 2019/2020 

    If you wish to enroll for the 2019/2020 school year prior to June 3, please visit the school of your choice.

    If you wish to enroll your child for the 2019/2020 school year between June 3 and July 5:

    Elementary school enrollment packets will be accepted at the District office 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Please schedule an appointment to submit the packet by calling 480.279.7020. Elementary school offices will reopen July 8.

    Middle school and high school enrollment packets will be taken at the school during their summer open hours.

    School begins July 22.

  • ParentVue update for 2019/2020

    Teacher assignments and schedules for students in K-8 the 2019/2020 school year will be available on ParentVUE at 5 p.m. July 17.

    High school students will receive their class schedules during back-to-school events on their campuses. 

    If you are a family new to Higley Unified School District, you must visit your school office in person after July 8 to receive your ParentVUE log-in account information, which can be used only after the opening of ParentVUE.

  • Kids Club Registration 19/20 School Year Now Open

    Families planning to use the 19/20 HUSD Kids Club before- and after-school program can now register. Remember: All students must have NEW emergency card and registration forms complete for the new school year. Students participating in 2019 Kids Club summer camp are using the 19/20 registration/emergency cards and will not need to complete those again, but will need to sign up for their Kids Club school year program.

    All families must pay the $50 school-year Kids Club registration fee per child.
