HUSD News Stories

The Higley Unified School District (HUSD) has opened student enrollment and open enrollment for the 2026–2027 school year. Families are encouraged to enroll early to secure placement at one of the district’s A-rated schools and to prepare for upcoming campus events designed to welcome new students. To support families of incoming kindergarteners, all HUSD elementary schools will host a Kindergarten Round-Up on January 29, 2026 at 5:30 PM. These events allow families to meet teachers, explore classrooms, and learn about HUSD’s kindergarten programs. More information is available on our Kindergarten page.

Middle and high schools across the district have also scheduled informational nights and student campus visits to help incoming students transition smoothly.

  • U-Knight the Kingdom (Incoming Freshman Campus Visit): January 14, 2026
• Williams Field High School
  • Step Up Night (Parent Night): January 15, 2026 from 5:30–7:00 PM
  • Hanging with the Hawks (Student-Only Visit): January 16, 2026 from 9:00–11:00 AM

These events are designed to help families learn about academic offerings, extracurricular programs, and the supportive learning environments across HUSD schools. The district encourages both new and returning families to participate and explore the opportunities available for the upcoming school year.
