Higley Helps

Higley Unified School District students and staff recognize the importance of giving back and the unique role our neighborhood schools play in meeting the needs of those around them. #HigleyHelps is a year-round, district-wide initiative that highlights service-learning programs and meaningful opportunities for students to positively impact their community.

From food drives that stock local pantries to join projects that support families in need, #HigleyHelps connects students with community members and encourages them to take initiative in serving others. While this season of giving brings many special projects, these efforts reflect an ongoing commitment to compassion, leadership, and making a difference every day.

Examples of this spirit in action include the Stuff the Bus Food Drive at Williams Field High School, where donations will support United Food Bank and local families during the holiday season. At Sossaman Early Childhood Development Center, a coat drive is underway to help spread warmth this winter, with collections of new or gently used coats, sweatshirts, and sweaters in all children’s sizes to benefit families through the House of Refuge.

Meanwhile, Chaparral Elementary is hosting an Angel Tree Project to provide holiday support for families in our community. These efforts represent just a few of the many ways our schools

are stepping up year after year to make a meaningful difference for families and individuals in need.
