I am very excited to be returning to the Chaparral family as Assistant Principal for the 2022-2023 school year! This will be my 16th year in education. I spent seven years as a classroom teacher before becoming a Title Coordinator and Instructional Coach at Cooley Middle School. This year will be my seventh year serving Chaparral as Assistant Principal, and I am looking forward to seeing our Sharks continue to develop as leaders on campus and in the community. I obtained my B.S. of Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University and my Masters in Administration and Supervision from University of Phoenix. I hold a K-12 Gifted endorsement and am a certified Kagan (Cooperative Learning) Coach.
Beginning with the end in mind, this year we are focused on creating leadership opportunities for students and creating engaging, safe, and rigorous learning environments for our students. We are also committed to supporting students social-emotional development through the Leader in Me process. The Chaparral community is embracing the habits of highly effective people and learning skills and paradigms that will support future success.
