Hi! My name is Nicole Hough (pronounced "Huff,") and I am happy to be a Resource teacher at Higley High School! I grew up in Illinois but have lived in many states, and even an Eastern European country! I have three kids, one boy and two girls, and many pets.
I came to be a SpEd teacher by first being a caregiver for Developmentally Delayed children and adults. In this career I found a love of those with Special Needs. When my son was born, it was determined that he had some delays as well, and so I've had experience with Special Needs in both a professional and personal capacity. With these experiences behind me, the jump to SpEd teacher was a very short one. I have successfully completed the TIR program at Rio Salado as well.
I love the kids that I teach! Each one has taught me something in return. I also love to hear from the parents of my students, especially if it will help me serve your son/daughter better. Thank you!
