Darla's journey in education began four years ago when she joined the Higley school district as a paraprofessional. During this time, she gained valuable hands-on experience working closely with teachers and students, further fueling her passion for teaching. Recognizing her innate ability to connect with and inspire young minds, she eagerly decided to pursue a career as a special education teacher.
Now entering her first year as a teacher, Darla is excited to embark on this new chapter of her professional journey. She approaches her role with enthusiasm and dedication, understanding the profound impact she can have on the lives of her students. Darla firmly believes in the potential of every child and strives to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment that caters to their unique needs and abilities.
Outside of her professional and outdoor pursuits, Darla cherishes quality time with her family. She understands the importance of maintaining strong familial bonds and believes that a supportive home environment greatly contributes to a child's overall well-being and success in the classroom. As a teacher, Darla actively seeks collaboration with parents and guardians, fostering open lines of communication and creating a cohesive partnership to support her students' educational journey.
