I am excited to start my second year as a Coronado Coyote and I am grateful for the opportunity to be your 5th grade teacher. Some of you already know me and others will be meeting me for the first time. We are going to have a great year growing and learning together!
I grew up in California (south central area) with my Mom and my four younger siblings. However, I am the oldest of ten and that is where my passion for teaching started. I was also lucky to have so many incredible teachers along the way that only fed the desire to work with children.
My family moved to Arizona in 2008. I finished up my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University and completed my student teaching in the Chandler Unified School District. Then I worked as an Infant-PreK Montessori Teacher and completed my Master’s in Special Education. We returned to Arizona for good in 2016. I have two kids: my son is a Junior at Higley and my daughter is a 5th grader at Centennial.
