About me: My name is Ms. Holloway. This is my second year teaching 6th grade ELA at Centennial. Before that, I taught 7th grade ELA at Cooley Middle School for 9 years. Before that, I taught 7th grade ELA at Gateway Pointe for 8 years when it was a K-8 school. I’m excited to use my “expertise” to make sure all of my students are ready for middle school next year! I have 2 kids; my son is in 9th grade at Higley High School and my daughter is in 6th grade here at Centennial. I love Centennial!
In my free time, I like to watch the same shows over and over again on Netflix and go to the movies. I also like to bake, read, travel, play board and card games, and spend time with my family. We have a 7-year-old pit bull named Lucy. She is full of love and cuddles, so I spend a lot of time napping with her on the weekends! I am originally from California, so I love to go back and go to Disneyland, the beach, and to visit family and friends.
My favorite snacks or treats are Cheez-its, Chex Mix, peanut M&Ms, and just about anything with chocolate. I also love Dr. Pepper! My favorite movies are The Goonies, Princess Bride, and anything Star Wars, Marvel, Harry Potter, and Pirates of the Caribbean. My favorite shows (especially to watch over and over) are The Office, Parks and Rec, Psych, Ted Lasso, Seinfeld, and Stranger Things.
