Hello! My name is Ashley Tenaglia and I am so excited to be teaching dance at Higley High School! Outside of dancing, I love to workout, read, design/make my own clothes, and travel to the beach! I am looking forward to making Higley THE place to be for dance!
I grew up dancing in several dance studios in Gilbert, AZ where I developed a foundation in Ballet, Jazz, and Lyrical. In high school, I was a member of the Dance Company and the Varsity Pom team. At Arizona State University I gained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Education where I trained in Modern, Contemporary, and Ballroom. I have been a guest choreographer at various schools, and I am continuously furthering my dance education by taking classes to stay current in the dance world!
As an educator, I believe in helping every student reach their full potential by building a solid foundation of technique and creativity to open opportunities for their future. I cultivate a positive classroom environment that encourages students to feel confident and excited to learn. I am always growing and learning with my students and love to have fun, but also be productive! I hope to build well rounded dancers with a wide knowledge/background in dance, who are prepared for the future.
