My name is Mrs. Anderson and I am ecstatic to be your child's 2nd grade teacher! I graduated from GCU with a dual certification in Early Childhood Education. I have background in both GenEd and SpEd, I also have worked with children birth-8 for over 10 years. I have been actively teaching now for 2 years. Teaching is a passion of mine, working with children and helping them find their own footing is such a gift. I learn from them as much as they will be learning from me.
I am an Arizona native, a wife, a mother, a sister, a golfer, a musician and an animal lover. My husband and I have 1 son, who attends Cortina, one dog (Lucy-Lou) and one cat (Rosie). Fun fact: If I had not gone to school for a teaching degree, I would have gotten a dual major in Marine Biology and Zoology.
I look forward to being your child's teacher and getting to know them! I firmly believe that it takes a village and that teachers should support parents/families as well. I am here for you just as I am your child 😊.
