¡Hola! My name is Amy Kimball. I was raised in Boulder City, a small town outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. I studied Spanish all four years in high school and was a valedictorian of my class. I received my BS degree in Elementary Education from BYU in 2004. Soon after I moved to Montreal, Canada where I studied and spoke Spanish with the Spanish-speaking community there. I loved it!
After returning to the States in 2006, I taught second grade for a few years and then married my husband, Rex. We moved to northern California where he finished his schooling and then we made it back here to Arizona where we have enjoyed living for 10 years now! We have three wonderful kids, Adam (11), Amelia (8) and Ben (7) who attend school at San Tan Elementary. Amelia and Ben are in the dual language program there and are learning a lot.
I love to be outdoors and being active. I enjoy hiking, reading, eating Mexican and Thai food, and spending time with my family. I have always had a great love for children and I taught preschool in my home for a few years before I came to work as an aide here at Sossaman ECDC this last year. I am so thrilled to teach my first dual language class and can't wait to meet you all!
