Hello, my name is Lori Torres. I will be teaching 5th-grade science this year. We will be learning about space, matter, physics, and life sciences. It will be a year of new discoveries, friendships and fun hands-on activities. I look forward to getting to know all of you!
I've been with Higley Unified school district teaching 1st- 5th grade since 2007. I'm a University of Arizona graduate with a degree in Finance and Human Resource Management. I received my teaching certification from Arizona State University. I was born in Boulder, Colorado, but did most of my growing up in Tucson. I have lived here in Gilbert for over 20 years. I have a daughter and a whole pack of animals at home.
In my spare time, I love photography, painting, horseback riding, water activities, but most of all family time. This is going to be an exciting year of learning. Let's make it our best!
