Hello! My name is Kristine Black and I am thrilled to be your student’s 6th grade math and science teacher! A little about me, I am originally from Indiana, just outside of Chicago (go Bears, go Cubs) and I graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Elementary Education. I moved to Arizona in 2002 and I live in Gilbert with my husband and twin daughters. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, spending time with friends and family, cooking, and paddle boarding.
This year, I am excited to explore the fascinating worlds of both mathematics and science with you all. My goal is to make our classroom a space where we can actively engage in hands-on experiments, solve challenging problems, and develop critical thinking skills. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed in math and science, and my goal is to empower every student reach their full potential.
I can't wait to embark on this journey with all of you and make this a memorable and rewarding year!
