Welcome to another amazing school year! My name is Piper Baker. I am so delighted to be spending this year in 1st grade at such an awesome school! I look forward to getting to know each of you this year. I will take some time to tell you a little about myself. I graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2018 with a BA in special education and a BA in elementary education. After I graduated, I spent a year teaching in Utah. After a year I came back to Arizona and have been here ever since!
When I'm not teaching, you can find me spending time with friends and family, playing with my pigs and dogs, hiking, camping, or reading a good book!
As a teacher my philosophy is to help children grow socially, emotionally, and academically. In class, your child will be growing their minds through differentiated lessons (whole group and small group) as well as centers to grow their understanding and fluency. In first grade we will grow together to become stronger readers, authors, mathematicians, scientists and historians!
