My name is Logan Leighty and I am a Graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. I was born and raised in Columbus, OH and moved to the wonderful state of Arizona in late summer of 2019. This will be my first year as a teacher and I am very excited to share my passion and knowledge of Physical Education with all the Sharks at Chaparral.
Prior to teaching I worked for Nationwide Insurance as a Consultant in the realty division while also working as a supervisor for the City of Columbus Recreation and Parks Department. I have participated on different sports teams of all competition levels and developed new hobbies over time to broaden my experience.
As an athlete I have played football, basketball, baseball, slow-pitch softball, swam, ran cross country, track and field competitively while enjoying rock climbing, mountain biking, skiing, kayaking, dancing, and hiking as hobbies. I have also had the opportunity to coach middle school football for 2 years, and Varsity high school basketball.
