My name is Richard Hinkle and I received my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Washington in Seattle. I studied Communications and went to work as a packaging designer. Living in Seattle at that time gave you a lot of access to Microsoft Products and training at a very low cost. I became fascinated with technology and was an early adopter of home computers.
I finally got sick of the cold and rain and moved to Arizona in 2001 where I had a business partnership. Due to back problems I sold all my business interests and concentrated on getting better. Once I was better, I began looking into a new career path. I had always wanted to teach but wasn't sure how to begin. Fortunately, Career and Technology teachers must have work experience in what they teach, and so I began teaching.
I have been teaching different CTE classes for 15 years now. My experience ranges from Business Applications, Video Production, Graphic Design, Animation, Coding and now Computer Foundations.
