Office Hours: 2:15-3:15 p.m., Tuesday & Thursdays
My name is Amanda Wade and I am excited to be your child’s teacher this year! My goal is to enrich students’ lives by increasing their knowledge of government and economics. I believe that every person should understand how government and economic systems work and how they can use the systems to implement changes. As an educator, I also feel that teaching involves more than just knowledge of material. I want my students to learn compassion while enjoying the experiences high school has to offer.
I began my teaching career in 2012 at Williams Field High School teaching government and economics at both the AP level and non AP level. I moved to Maryland in 2015 and taught AP Government and U.S. History from 2015-2019. I found my way back home and once again became a Black Hawk in 2019. I teach government, economics, AP Government and Politics, and AP Macroeconomics.
I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Arizona State University in 2010. Then in 2011, I received my Master’s Degree in Secondary Education. I am proud to be part of the Williams Field community! Black Hawks Dominate!
