An Arizona native, Mrs. Spitler grew up in the Gilbert/Chandler area before attending Arizona State University for Secondary Education in Mathematics. Upon graduation, she began her career as an Algebra 2 and Remedial Math teacher in San Tan Valley, where she spent 7 years developing as a teacher and leader, while earning her Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University.

Becoming a Black Hawk in July 2019, Mrs. Spitler is excited to teach at Williams Field High School with a philosophy to build problem solving and discovery within her math courses. Additionally, Mrs. Spitler became a National Board Certified Teacher in Secondary Mathematics in December 2019. Outside of school, Mrs. Spitler enjoys going to the movies or Diamondbacks games with her husband, a high school theater director, and their young children.
