My name is Lauren Tessin and I may be a familiar face to many as I have substituted regularly in the Higley District for four years before coming a permanent teacher. I am a Michigan native and made the move to Gilbert in 2015. Instead of continuing onto my Master's degree in Social Work, I decided to go back to school again to get my teacher certification. I was a volunteer in my son's kindergarten class and just loved the education setting and the little ones so much that I switched fields!
I am married to my wonderful husband, and I also have two sons. In my spare time, I am usually reading a book, traveling or spending time with my family.
