My name is Mrs. Jessica Kadner (Mrs. K.) and in 2019 I started teaching at Higley High. Previously, I was working for the Arizona House of Representatives Research Staff, and before that I was a licensed substitute in the state of Oregon as well as a pre-school teacher. My passion is being inside the classroom, and I am excited to be part of the team here at Higley.
I have three beautiful daughters, a miniature dachshund, a tortoise, and a very supportive husband who cheers us on every step of the way. I enjoy outdoor activities like biking, hiking, camping and off-roading. One of my favorite places is the beach, and I have a huge passion for classic movies and music of all varieties.
I believe that our educational journey starts with strong, positive relationships in the classroom. This can help students develop necessary skills for their future, like creating meaningful, supportive relationships. I believe this can be done in a safe, positive classroom environment, where students are treated like young adults, who can think critically and create their own thoughts and opinions that can be discussed in a positive way.
