My name is Teresa LoDestro and I was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona, which makes me an Arizona native. I love living an active/healthy lifestyle so in my free time I enjoy hiking, kayaking, camping, doing puzzles and reading. Spending time in Northern Arizona and traveling to National Parks are also some of my favorite things to do! My fiancé, Brian, and I adopted a Mini Goldendoodle puppy, Tucker, in 2018, who keeps us on our toes as well.
Luckily, I never have to go on my adventures alone. I have two younger sisters, my mom, and my dad to accompany me. We are a very close-knit family and spend a lot of time together.
I graduated from Northern Arizona University (go Lumberjacks!) in 2018 with my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I plan to obtain my Masters degree within the next five years. Prior to teaching at Cortina, I student taught in first grade at Power Ranch Elementary. I spent the 2018-2019 school year teaching first grade in Mesa, AZ, but I missed HUSD too much and had to return in 2019!
