    Emil Nicholas Headshot
My name is Emily Nicholas and I am a graduate of Northern Arizona University, Arizona State University, and Chandler-Gilbert Community College. At NAU, I received my Master’s in Early Childhood Education with my reading and early childhood endorsement in December 2010. In May 2006, I received my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from ASU along with my SEI endorsement. I also graduated with my Associates in Arts Degree from Chandler-Gilbert Community College in May 2004.
I have been teaching for 14 years. Eleven years have been spent in kindergarten and the other three were in first grade. I have spent 12 years in the Higley Unified School District and taught for two years in the Peoria Unified School District. While in Higley, I have taught at Coronado and Chaparral Elementary and while in Peoria, I taught at Country Meadows Elementary.
I am originally from West Virginia, but moved to Gilbert, Arizona when I was three-years-old. I attended elementary through high school in the Gilbert Public School District and graduated from Gilbert High School. I am an aunt to two beautiful nieces who also live in Mesa and my parents still live in Gilbert. Some things I enjoy besides teaching are doing CrossFit, spending time with family and friends, hiking, shopping, relaxing, and traveling. I have one pet cat named Lily and I love all animals!
