My name is Pei-I (pronounced payee) Whittier. This is my first year of teaching, but I was a substitute teacher for 7 years and taught at a Chinese School prior to that. I was born and raised in Taiwan where I learned about Chinese culture and the unique resources that Taiwan has to offer. I had the opportunity to study abroad in CA where I met my husband and later decided to stay home and raise my children.
We lived in Michigan for 12 years and moved to Arizona 2 years ago due to a work relocation. We are used to the heat now and are in love with Arizona. My 18-year-old son is a Senior and 15-year-old son is a Sophomore, both attending Williams Field High School. My husband works in IT for SRP. Our family enjoy traveling, camping, playing board games and sampling delicious dishes.
