My name is Anne McCarthy. I was born in Santa Monica, California and grew up in Orange County near the beach and theme parks. After teaching elementary school in Glendale, Arizona, I began teaching at Higley in 2018.
I attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska for my B.Sc. in Biology. My Master’s degree is in Geology from California State University, Long Beach, where I focused on stable isotope geochemistry. During my time there I coauthored posters for conferences and presented at the IAGS.
My goal is for students to learn science in a nurturing and encouraging environment
