About the Instructor:
I am excited to teach math at Higley High School after teaching math in a neighboring district for the past two years. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice Administration and a Master of Business Administration degree. I became a teacher after completing a post baccalaureate program in secondary education with an emphasis on mathematics. Teaching is my second career after retiring (medically) from the United States Marine Corps in 2013. My wife, two children (also Higley School District students), and I live within 5 miles of Higley High School and love being a part of this community.
It is not my goal to create human calculators, but instead to create problem solvers. I have experience teaching all ability levels of high school mathematics and know that every student is capable of learning, no matter their mathematical background. I look forward to watching my students become expert problem solvers, ready to face what comes next in their young adult lives.
