My name is Shalee Pace and I am the art teacher at Gateway Pointe Elementary. This is my sixth year teaching elementary art and my third year at Gateway. I was born and raised in Texas and graduated from Texas Tech University (Wreck ‘Em!). My husband and I moved to Arizona with our dog, Koda, in 2017. We have loved exploring Arizona by attending lots of concerts, sporting events, First Friday Art trails, new restaurants, hiking and rock climbing.
My favorite part about teaching elementary art is sharing my love of creating with my students. I love seeing their excitement when they learn something new or are proud of their completed art piece. Creating has always been my favorite thing to do and it continues to be something I do almost daily. In my free time I enjoy lettering, painting, and creating digital artwork.
