I am very excited to work with your child this year at Centennial Elementary! It is going to be a year filled with lots of learning and fun. I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us! I thought you’d like to know a little bit about me.
I am married to my awesome husband, James. Though my husband has older children who no longer live at home, we have a four year old son who we adopted after fostering him for over a year. He is loud and rambunxious and keeps us very busy. Some hobbies I enjoy are camping, boating, and reading.
I am from Pennsylvania and I love living in Arizona! I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and my Master’s Degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University. I am currently working on another Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with University of Phoenix and will graduate in September. I believe, as a teacher, I should always be learning!
This will be my 7th year teaching special education. It is my 2nd year with the Higley School District. I love getting to know my students and I strive to be a fun, engaging, and fair teacher. I also love to participate in spirit days with the students, as you can tell from the picture above. I am very open with communication, so please contact me with any questions, concerns, and celebrations. I know we will have a fantastic year!
