My name is Amy Buxbaum. I am originally from Ohio, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. In 2010, I completed a post-baccalaureate program in Massachusetts in Early Childhood Education and received my Early Childhood Teaching Certificate. I worked as an aide in a preschool program during and after my schooling.
In 2011, I moved to sunny Arizona, after having had enough of the rain and snow back East. This is my seventh year teaching. I have taught four years of kindergarten, one year of second grade, and last year taught Brilliant Beginnings here at Cooley.
On a personal note, I live in Gilbert with my wheaten terrier, Ozzie. I enjoy spending time with my sister, brother-in-law, and my niece and two nephews, who also live in Gilbert. One of my nephews is four years old, so I get lots of practice with this age group!
