Kent Horstmann has been at Higley High School since 2014. Mr. Horstmann spent 32 years in education in Iowa as an athletic director, mathematics teacher, and coach. Mr. Horstmann has been married to his wife, Mary, since 1983 He has two daughters, Chelsey and Heather. Chelsey and husband, Matt, live in Reading, England where Matt is in the Royal Air Force. Heather lives in Los Angles, California and is an aspiring professional wrestler.
Mr. Horstmann loves fitness activities such as racket sports, biking, weight training, etc. He has a real passion for the game of pickleball, college football, and athletics in general.
Teaching Philosophy: I want to give students a great overall experience in the classroom. I want the students to know that I care about them, more than just what they are doing in the classroom. I will work hard to teach the content while developing meaningful and lasting relationships with students.
