My name is Matt Shaw and I am happy to be your child's Fifth Grade ELA and Social Studies Teacher. Teaching and learning is an absolute passion of mine. I am excited to work with you and your child. It is going to be a year full of fun, learning and many adventures. I can't wait to see what the year has in store for us!
This is my seventh year at San Tan and my 13th year of teaching. I have earned a B.A. in Communications and a Master's degree in Elementary Education from ASU. I have been lucky enough to study in Egypt, Rome and Paris. I have also been fortunate to be part of a grant that allowed me to learn about American history and travel to the East coast to see all of the American historical sites. I enjoy sharing my love for education with students and hope to inspire them to be life long learners.
