I am happy to be working with your child this year at Centennial Elementary. I am excited to get to know all of you. I have been teaching Special Education for eighteen years.and loving every moment. Eleven of those years was in Early Childhood Special Education as a preschool teacher here in the district. I grew up in Arizona!  In fact I  grew up in the Higley Unified School District. Go a Higley Hornets!!

My education background is in Early Childhood special education. I graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in elementary education and early childhood intervention.. Later I completed  my masters at Northern Arizona University with a degree in specai education with a Structured English Immersion Endorsement.

i have two wonderful grown children. I am so proud of them and my six beautiful grandchildren. I  also have five grand-dogs and a three legged  cat name" Jack".

In my spare time I enjoy going camping, gardening, and spending time with my family.

i am looking forward to working with you and your child.I believe these years are some of the most important in a child's life. I will work hard to teach the children in my classroom and empower them with the love of learning. Our classroom is a hand on learning enviroment. Your child will be part of a literacy based sight word curriculum.Instruction in our classroom is both teacher and child directed. Our structured classroom routine encourages active involvement, meaningful experimentation, and reinforcement through repetion.

A great parent-teacher relationship begins with communication. Please  feel free to contact me if you have questions or concerns at any time. I will also do my part by sending home a daily log and newsletter via e-mail each week to update you on what we have been learning in our class. Let's have a fantastic school year!!!

     See you soon,
