My name is Kristin Skinner and I was born in Farmington, New Mexico. I lived there until I was 5 years old. I have one older brother who is only 1 year older, but I still like to remind him that he is so much OLDER than I am. My family has always lived in Arizona and I have always loved it here, even though "it’s a dry heat." My favorite things to do growing up were camping and swimming. Turns out, those are still my favorite things. I guess some things never change.
I graduated from UTEP with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. I received a full ride softball scholarship and played shortstop all four years. This will be my 12th year teaching. I have taught three years in kindergarten, three years in second grade, and six years in first grade.
I am married to my high school sweetheart, and we have known each other since junior high. We have two children, my 12-year-old daughter, Brailynn, and my 10-year-old son, Braxton. We love going to the beach, museums, camping, hiking, and of course, swimming. Brailynn loves school, art, crafting, and swimming. Braxton loves Legos, playing basketball, and swimming. Our favorite thing to do as a family is to play board games. We have a closet full of board games and can’t seem to have enough.
