    Dear Williams Field Parents:

I am pleased to share with you we have found an excellent administrator, Mr. John Ewing, to serve as the interim principal for Williams Field. Mr. Ewing brings more than 30 years of educational experience with him and is a compassionate and caring leader. He will work well with the current administrative team at Williams Field and with the central office administrators to keep Williams Field moving forward in a positive direction. As an added bonus, Mr. Ewing has a grandson who is an active player on the New Orleans Saints football team, so I know he will be excited to be a part of Williams Fields’ winning football tradition. He will begin working over the fall break, starting on Thursday, October 6; he will be available if any parent or student would like to meet him before your children return to school on October 18.

We will begin the process of hiring a permanent replacement to lead Williams Field High School in January. This process will involve students, parents, and staff, and our goal will be to have the permanent principal hired before spring break. The start date will depend on his/her current position, but we do want this process completed as soon as possible.

I look forward to working with Mr. Ewing to make this a smooth transition for everyone, and please email me if you have any questions or concerns.

    Sincerely,
