    Welcome back to school Panthers!

I hope that everyone enjoyed their summer and I hope everyone had an opportunity to relax and recharge as we begin another amazing school year. I am so excited to begin my third year at Power Ranch and to continue to get to know students and parents in this wonderful community.

A little about myself, I am originally from Texas and I have lived in Arizona with my husband and daughter for the past 21 years. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from The University of Texas at El Paso and my master’s degree from Northern Arizona University. I have been an educator for more than 27 years in several different capacities: a classroom teacher, Dean of Students and an Instructional Coach. Deciding to become an administrator came from a strong desire to make a positive impact on an entire school community, as well as the desire to build the capacity of teachers and students.

Parents, teachers, support staff, community and administration all play a part in helping our students meet and exceed the expectations we have for them. We are ready to make this school year a successful one. The teachers and staff at Power Ranch have put a lot of time and energy into getting ready for the year and we are anxious to have the students return.

You will find that my door is always open and I am always here to support students in any way possible.

    Respectfully,

    Michelle Cota
