San Tan PE
Hello San Tan Scorpions! I am so excited for another year of physical education. We have a great year ahead of us with team sports, individual activities, the rock wall and more!
I have been teaching physical education for over 19 years. I received my Bachelors degree from NAU and my Masters degree from ASU. I have taught at the junior high and elementary level. I love to run, lift weights and be active with my family. Our favorite thing to do together as a family is to travel and watch my kids play soccer and dance.
Meet our student teacher from ASU, Mr. Mann
I am a graduate of Western Oregon University with a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science, and a current ASU graduate student in Physical Education.
I was born and raised in Oregon, and in 2018, my family and I relocated to Arizona. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two kids (1 & 4) and staying active in a variety of ways. I am an outdoor enthusiast and sport fanatic. My favorite sports are Football and Basketball (Go Rams, Ducks & Blazers!) and my favorite outdoor activities include; Hiking, Running, Fishing, Mountain Biking, Rock Climbing and Snowboarding.
My main objective as a Physical Education Teacher is to help students learn and practice the skills necessary to foster physical literacy in the context of game, sport and physical fitness. It is my priority to help students understand the impact of physical activity on overall health and well-being while gaining the confidence and competence necessary to find enjoyment in being physically active for a lifetime.
I am so very excited to meet you all and I look forward to a great experience here at San Tan Elementary.
