My name is Mrs. Rachael Villanueva. This year will be my seventh-year teaching, and my first year teaching ELA and Social Studies in sixth grade! I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a certificate in Environmental Education in May 2016. I also graduated in May 2018 with my Master's degree in Higher and Postsecondary Education! I look forward to working with a diverse group of leaders that will be enriched through a rigorous curriculum.
I was born in Wisconsin and lived there up until sixth grade. I have lived in Arizona for the past 16 years. I am still a Wisconsinite at heart that loves dairy products, the Green Bay Packers, and snow. The majority of my family lives in Wisconsin and I enjoy going back to visit. This past year I got married in Gilbert, Arizona and am so excited to be enjoying many adventures with my husband. Together, we love to work out, watch movies, and hang out with friends.
My favorite sports to play include basketball and indoor volleyball. Most importantly, I am very excited to begin my seventh year teaching at San Tan, inspiring and educating the leaders of the future.
