My name is Nicole Flores. I am native to Arizona and got my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University...Go Sun Devils!! I also have an Early Childhood Endorsement. I started my teaching career in Mesa and taught there for 7 years. I have been at Cortina since 2016. Besides Kindergarten, I have also taught one year of Second Grade.
I am married and have two sons; Ryan and Dylan who is a junior in high school. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching football (Go Eagles), scrapbooking/crafting and shopping! I also love exploring Arizona and all things cacti!
Kindergarten is an exciting place. We are going to learn so many things this year. You will see your child grow into a reader, writer, and problem solver. We will have fun as we learn, explore, and challenge ourselves! It is my pleasure and responsibility to help my students enjoy school, and be successful and confident learners. There is no such thing as “I can’t!” in our classroom; together we will find a way!
