Welcome to 4th Grade!
My name is Lindsay Shelton and I am thrilled to be one of your 4th grade teachers for the 2018-2019 school year! We are excited to be using the dyad model this year. You will have two teachers: one for ELA and Social Studies and one for Math and Science. I will be your ELA and Social Studies teacher. I can’t wait to meet you and I am looking forward to a fun, successful school year.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education – go Sun Devils! This school year marks my fourteenth year in education. I have had the opportunity to teach fifth grade for eleven years, first grade for one year, and this is my second year in fourth grade. I have taught in North Carolina, Alabama, and Arizona.
I am married to my husband, Jeff, and we are the proud parents of three children who all attend Bridges Elementary. Our oldest son is a sixth grader in HPAL, our daughter is a third grader in HPAL, and our youngest son is in the THINK! kindergarten program. Outside of school, I enjoy hiking and swimming with my family and watching my children at their various sporting events.
This year your child will be challenged in a positive, nurturing environment. You will see your child grow in numerous ways as both a reader and a writer and as a historian. I’m looking forward to working with you to make this the best school year for your child. My goal is for 4th grade to be your child’s favorite year. Please feel free to contact me anytime!
