My name is Serina Turner and I am a graduate of ASU with a degree in K-8 Elementary Education and a minor in Family and Human Development. I have taught at Chaparral for 6 years. Over the course of my career at Chaparral, I have taught third grade, as well as served as the lead of our "Leader in Me" Lighthouse Team as Lighthouse Coordinator. I have also served as Yearbook Coordinator each year.
I have lived in Gilbert for 12 years, but was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington. I love spending my weekends cheering on the Seahawks with my family, diving into a great book, paddle boarding at the lake, and spending time with my dog, Nala. Teaching is my passion and what I was born to do.
