Welcome to Ms. Hamal's 4th Grade Class!

    Centennial Elementary

    Dyad - Math and Science

    Room 202

Welcome to fourth grade! My name is Amanda Hamal. This year will be my fifth year at Centennial (including student teaching) and also my fifth year in fourth grade. I could not be more excited for this year to begin.

In my classroom students will be entering the realm of all things math and science. In fourth grade we are on a dyad/triad system, and I teach on the dyad. That means your student will have two teachers, one for math and science and one for ELA and social studies. My partner teacher this year is Elena Williams, and I am extremely eager for her to join our team. Her enthusiasm and passion for this career are unparalled!

I am looking forward to getting to know all of my students in this new school year. As a teacher I strive to create a classroom community where students feel comfortable and willing to take risks in their learning. In order to do that I feel it is important to first create unique relationships with every individual who enters my classroom and to let my class get to know me as well.

I recently earned my Bachelor's degree from Arizona State University in 2016 and am a huge Sun Devil Fan. I am originally from Washington state where I grew up until I moved away to attend college, and often find myself sharing stories and pictures of the PNW because of its unique beauty. I love exploring the Southwest, spending my winters at the mountain, and reading and crafting in my free time. But mostly, I absolutely love creating relationships with my students and helping them both see and reach their potential.

I'm looking forward to a great year together!             - Ms. Hamal
