Hello! My name is Molly McGill and I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child to STARS! I'm really looking forward to an incredible year of Preschool!
I was born and raised in Michigan, where I began studying for my degree in General Education at Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan. In 2006, my family and I moved to Arizona, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from The University of Phoenix in 2010. While attending classes, I worked as a Respite and Habilitation Specialist. It was then, I realized that my passion was in Special Education. Since then, I've enjoyed the challenges and rewards of teaching in a Cross-Categorical classroom and a Self-Contained Autism room. I graduated with my Masters Degree in Special Education with an endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education from Grand Canyon University in 2016. I also have recently graduated with my second Masters Degree in Educational Administration (Principal Certificate) also from Grand Canyon University. I have found that my passion lies in Preschool Special Education. It is at this early age that intervention is key and can be life changing in a positive way.
I am a proud Teacher and Parent in our fantastic, Higley School District. I have five incredible children (Natalie, age 14, Nick, Noah, and Miranda triplets age 19, and Aidan - age 12 ), a wonderful, loving husband (Rick) three fun dogs (Beary Potter, Rosie Mae, and Ashley Faith)! 9 years ago, my son Aidan was blessed enough to have our amazing Director, Patti Gleason as his Preschool teacher. As her room mom, I had such an extraordinary experience that when she offered me the opportunity to teach at Sossaman, I couldn't wait to join her team! This will be my fifth year teaching the self-contained BEST classes at Sossaman Early Childhood Development Center and I am absolutely thrilled to be here another year.I am so grateful to be a part of your child's first school experience. I know as a parent and an educator, Preschool can be exciting and challenging. I want you to know that every child in our classroom is special and I will work my hardest to ensure a positive academic and social experience for all of us!
