I am absolutely thrilled to be your child’s teacher this year and I look forward to meeting everyone. This is my 13th year teaching 3rd grade! I can’t tell you how excited I am to be teaching at San Tan - this will be my 4th year here. For 9 years, I taught 3rd grade in Mesa and for five years, I had the privilege of being a stay-at-home mom. Even though I wasn’t teaching full time, I made sure to stay actively involved in the classroom whether it be volunteering in my daughter’s classroom or substitute teaching on a weekly basis – and that is how I fell in love with this school. We have a fabulous team of third grade teachers who work really hard to make sure we are giving the best to our students.A little more about myself:I am an Arizona native – born and raised in Mesa – GO Jackrabbits!! I received my bachelors degree in Elementary Education from ASU. My husband and I, two kiddos, two dogs and one cat (whoa!) live here in Gilbert. My daughter will be in 7th grade at Sossaman (sigh!) and my son in 3rd grade, here at San Tan. We just love the community out here – it’s quite a small world! My favorite things to do are running, shopping, traveling, and hanging out with family and friends.I am full of anticipation to start this school year. Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns you might have. I am a big believer in communication and LOVE email! If we all work together, there is no doubt your child will have an incredible, memorable, and accomplished year.We are going to work hard, learn a lot, have fun and become 3rd grade leaders!!Sincerely,Nicole Mantle
