I am Panna Leatherby, also known as 潘娜 in Chinese, and my students call me 潘老师, Pan Laoshi. Originally from Baoji, China, I arrived in the United States in 2007 for graduate studies in Applied Linguistics at Iowa State University. For seven years, I taught Mandarin Chinese at an Iowa high school before relocating to Arizona in 2015. In Arizona, I joined the Higley Unified School District #60, where I taught both middle and high school students.
My educational journey includes a Master's degree in TESL/Applied Linguistics from Iowa State University, a second Master's degree in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University, and a Professional Certificate in East Asian Language Teaching from Ohio State University. My bachelor's degree in English Language and International Trade and Economics is from Hunan University.
