•          Hello and welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! My name is Miss Crawford and I feel very fortunate and excited to be your child's first grade teacher!!

To let you know a little about myself, I am originally from Bloomington, Illinois and made the move to Arizona in July of 2014.  I love how welcomed I have been into the Power Ranch community! It speaks volumes about the families that make up this wonderful community.  I have been a 1st grade teacher at Power Ranch for 4 years, and am so excited to begin my 5th year with your child.  I am a huge sports fan - I love to cheer on all of my Chicago teams!  I was also a softball player throughout my entire life and played during my 4 years of college.  I earned my Elementary Education degree from Lindenwood University in the St. Louis area.

In my free time you can find me spending time with family and friends, shopping, traveling/exploring new areas, relaxing by the pool, or reading a good book!

I am beyond excited to start this new journey with your first grader!  I am also looking forward to creating the relationships and bonds with the families who support their students.  I truly believe that success of students builds upon strong connections with an open line of communication.  I also believe that teachers and parents should be a TEAM, to ensure success among students both in the classroom and at home.  My passion for teaching allows me to value each individual student's education and provide with the absolute best learning environment possible.   My classroom focuses on safe, active and engaged learning to hold students to their highest academic achievement.  If you feel you are able to contribute in any way to our classroom, please feel free to volunteer! I love welcoming all volunteers to provide quality input and interaction with the students.

I cannot wait to meet all of you and create the most memorable year imaginable! Contact me at any time through my email: Lindsey.crawford@husd.org
