Bertram Hilliard

My name is Bertram Hilliard and I was born and raised in Virginia and earned my BA in History at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia. After moving to Arizona in 1991, I earned my Post-Bac degree from ASU and my Master's Degree from NAU. During my 17 year career as an educator, I have taught grades 5th - 8th in the Mesa, Deer Valley, and Higley School Districts. I am excited to begin my sixth year at Coronado Elementary as the 6th grade ELA teacher. Go Coyotes!

I have been married to my wife, Amy, for nearly 30 years. All three of our children are Sun Devils. Our older daughter, Lexi, teaches science in Tempe while our son Josh, works in finance. Our younger daughter, Hope, is in her sophomore year at the ASU downtown campus, and she is currently attending Barrett Honors College and nursing school. We have two dogs - Aspen a white husky and Puggles the pug.

I love watching college football and despite being born in Virginia and living in Arizona, I am a HUGE Oklahoma Sooner fan. My perfect vacation would be going to Cabo or to the Turks and Caicos and spending my time fishing, eating seafood, and swimming in the ocean.
